Room Enough for Both: Lessons from a Year of Planning for Housing and Conservation Together

Webinar

The Hudson Valley Alliance for Housing and Conservation will host a lunch-n-learn webinar to share how the Town of New Lebanon in Columbia County embarked on a citizen-led, practitioner-guided collaboration to identify how housing opportunities and conservation priorities could be considered together in planning for the future of the community.

Panelists include:

  • Steve Rosenberg (Co-convener, Hudson Valley Alliance for Housing and Conservation)
  • Tiffany Zezula (Deputy Director, Pace Land Use Law Center)
  • Laura Heady (Conservation and Land Use Program Coordinator, Hudson River Estuary Program and Cornell University)
  • Adam Bosch (Special Advisor, Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress)
  • Tistrya Houghtling (Supervisor, Town of New Lebanon)

The webinar is designed for municipal officials; planners; members of housing, comprehensive plan committees, and planning boards; and others working to achieve both affordable housing and conservation goals together. The panel discussion will be followed by Q&A. Register here.
