2026 Volunteer Trainings for the Amphibian Migrations & Road Crossings Project
There are several opportunities to attend training for the Amphibian Migration & Road Crossings (AM&RC) Project this winter. Volunteers can:
- Attend an in-person training hosted by the Hudson River Estuary Program
- Attend an online, virtual training hosted by the Hudson River Estuary Program
- Join an AM&RC Project Partner for a live, group viewing of the Estuary Program's virtual training and network with volunteers in your community
- Attend an in-person or virtual session offered by AM&RC Project Partners.
Because in-person trainings have limited space, priority is given to volunteers from the Hudson River estuary watershed, especially those who have not attended an in-person program before. Experienced volunteers who need a refresher or live outside of the Hudson Valley are encouraged to consider joining the virtual session.
Training topics will include volunteer protocols, safety measures, data collection and reporting on Survey123, and species identification. Participants who are unable to attend an in-person or virtual program can view YouTube training modules. All volunteers should complete some form of training prior to surveying roads and submitting data. Thank you!
